Husband Rebuild: Still on the Same Side

A practical guide to reconnecting through money stress, overloaded days, and emotional distance.

A note before you begin

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

This is an original relationship-education book. It is informed by adult attachment theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy, particularly the work of Sue Johnson, whose book Hold Me Tight is acknowledged in the source notes. It is not an adaptation of her seven conversations, an authorized companion to her book, or an endorsed EFT treatment program. All stories, dialogue, worksheets, and practice sequences here were written for this book.

The exercises are invitations to learn and practice, not diagnostic tests. They have not been independently evaluated as a program. Suggested durations are practical estimates, not scientifically established treatment doses. No exercise can guarantee a partner's response, repair a relationship on a deadline, or make an unsafe situation safe.

Daniel and Maya, Marcus and Elena, Owen and Priya, and Ben and Rachel are fictional couples. Their circumstances continue across chapters; their stories are not client histories or testimonials. Other brief examples are invented too. They show possibilities, including difficult responses and incomplete change, rather than predicting what will happen in your relationship.

Practice, not theory

36 practices you can actually do this week

Every chapter ends with three: one for your own work, one to try together if your partner agrees, and one for ordinary days. Plus 8 reusable tools and a flexible 30-day practice sequence — a structure for practice, not a promise of results.

  • Map one repeated exchange instead of re-arguing the whole relationship.
  • Put money facts on the table alongside the worries underneath them.
  • Take over one household responsibility completely — noticing, planning and finishing it.
  • Prepare a respectful pause, and say when you will come back.
  • Connect an apology to follow-through you can actually keep.

Who it’s for

For partners who keep having the same argument about money, time or who carries what — and want to change their own part of it. You can start alone. Practices marked “together” need your partner’s willing participation — you can’t do both sides.

About the narration

The audiobook is narrated by Grady, a synthetic (AI-generated) voice created with Higgsfield. No music. Every chapter and practice is narrated; source links stay in the ebook rather than being read aloud.

What it is — and isn’t

Relationship education informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy concepts and adult attachment research, with sources in the book. It is not therapy, counselling, medical, legal or crisis support, has not been clinically reviewed, is not endorsed by Dr. Sue Johnson or any EFT organisation, and can’t promise how a relationship turns out. If there is violence, threats or fear in your home, contact local emergency services or a domestic-violence service first. Disclaimer

Questions

What’s included?

You choose. The ebook is the 133-page PDF, the EPUB and a printable worksheet extract. The audiobook is a chaptered M4B, one full MP3 and a ZIP of 21 MP3 tracks, plus a browser player in your library. You get exactly the formats you buy — the ebook doesn’t include the audiobook, or the other way round.

What does it cost? Is it a one-time purchase?

Yes, every option is paid once — no subscription. Ebook US$15, audiobook US$19, or both for US$29 (save US$5 compared with buying them separately). You can add the 72-Hour Reconnection Kit (US$29 on its own): US$39 with the ebook, US$43 with the audiobook, US$55 with both (save US$8). The OS subscription is separate and never added.

I already own the kit or one format.

Signed in, you’ll see what you already own marked as owned; you can only buy what’s missing, so you’re never charged twice for the same item. An active OS membership includes kit access while it lasts; adding the kit here is an optional permanent one-time copy. Owning the kit or the OS doesn’t include the book.

How do I get to it after buying?

It appears in your Husband Rebuild library, signed in with the account you bought with, and we email you a link to that library. Download any format or listen in the browser. Library links are temporary for security; files you download are yours to keep.

Which devices does it work on?

PDF opens in any PDF reader, EPUB in e-reader apps that support EPUB, MP3 plays almost anywhere and M4B in many audiobook apps. We don’t certify specific devices or apps — check yours.

Does my partner have to take part?

No. Most of the work is your own. The “together, by agreement” practices are optional and only make sense if your partner chooses to join.

Is the narrator a real person?

No. Grady is a synthetic voice. If you prefer, read the ebook instead — it has the same content plus the source links.
