Repair is naming a rupture and taking responsibility for your part, without demanding forgiveness on a timeline. A real repair sounds like: "I was sharp last night and I don't like how I came across. That wasn't fair to you." Then you stop. You do not tack on a request for her to also apologize. The pressure version hides a demand inside the apology: I said sorry, so now we should be fine. That turns repair into a transaction and usually reopens the wound. Clean repair gives without collecting, and lets her respond on her own time, or not yet.
