Outside support readiness: when a forum isn't enough

Husband Rebuild · 6d ago

This space is education and practice, not treatment. There are situations where real-world support is the right and responsible next step, and recognizing that is a sign of strength, not failure. Consider outside support when there is abuse or fear for safety, ongoing depression or anxiety that is not lifting, substance issues, thoughts of self-harm, or a level of distress that a self-guided tool cannot hold. A licensed professional, a doctor, or in an emergency, local crisis services, can offer what a forum simply cannot. If any of that is present for you, please prioritize real support over working the loop alone. You can post that you are taking that step if it helps you commit. We will always back the choice to get appropriate help.
